Upload a password-protected PDF, enter the password, and download an unlocked copy. Everything runs in your browser. The output is rebuilt page by page so you can open it without a password.
How do I remove a password from a PDF?
Enter the PDF's password, open the file and download an unlocked copy that opens without a password.
Can it unlock a PDF if I don't know the password?
No. You need the password to open the file. This tool only removes it so you don't have to type it again.
Will the text still be selectable?
No. The unlocked copy is rebuilt from page images, so text can't be selected. Run it through OCR PDF if you need that.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your file never leaves your device.
