How do I mirror a photo?

What is the difference between flipping and rotating?
Flipping mirrors the picture, so text reads backwards. To turn it without mirroring, use Rotate Image. Flipping both ways gives the same result as rotating 180 degrees.
Why is my selfie the wrong way round?
Many phone front cameras save a mirrored photo. Flip it horizontally to get the view other people see.
Is the quality reduced?
PNG keeps every pixel exactly. JPG and WebP are saved again at high quality, which is not noticeable in normal use.
