Enter any two of pixels, print size and DPI to get the third. Drop in an image to fill in its pixel size automatically.
Print size of at common DPIs
| DPI | Inches | cm | Typical use |
|---|
How do I calculate print size from pixels?
Divide the pixels by the DPI. For example, 3000 pixels at 300 DPI prints 10 inches wide, or 25.4 cm.
How many pixels do I need for a print?
Multiply the print size in inches by the DPI. A 6 x 4 inch photo at 300 DPI needs 1800 x 1200 pixels. Choose Pixels needed above to work it out in cm or mm too.
Are DPI and PPI the same?
For digital images they mean the same thing: how many pixels fit in each inch of the print. To change the DPI stored in a file, use Change DPI of Image.
