Compress PDF to 1MB
1 MB is the limit many job portals and upload forms set for a CV or a multi-page scan. Choose your PDF and it is rebuilt just under 1 MB, often at close to its original quality.
Your PDF never leaves your device.
How do I compress a PDF to 1MB?
Choose your PDF and it is rebuilt just under 1 MB. The new size is shown before you download it.
Will my CV stay searchable?
Text-based PDFs, such as a CV saved from Word, often fit under 1 MB just by repacking, which keeps the text selectable. Scans and image-heavy PDFs are saved with each page as an image.
Can I compress to 2 MB or 500 KB instead?
Yes. Type any size into Max size and the PDF is rebuilt to fit.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so your file never leaves your device.
