How this audio to MIDI tool works
This tool uses machine-learning transcription that runs entirely in your browser, so your audio never leaves your device. It listens to the audio, estimates the notes being played, and splits them into bass, melody, and drum tracks. It is strongest on a single instrument or a clear vocal line. Dense full mixes, where drums, bass, vocals, and guitar all play at once, are much harder and will often come out rough. For the cleanest result, convert one instrument or vocal at a time.

We improve this tool continuously, and it gets sharper with every batch of real-world clips people send us. Some audio, especially dense full mixes, is genuinely hard and may always come out rough. That is exactly the audio we most want to see, because it is what we tune against. If a conversion came out wrong, use the button above to send us the clip that broke it. We use donated clips only to test and tune the tool, and we delete them after review. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to send it.
